Tourism Selangor treats media to dinner

PETALING JAYA: Around 200 media members, Selangor local council representatives, State government department and its subsidiary companies were treated to a sumptuous dinner at One World Hotel here last night.

The dinner by Tourism Selangor and the State government was to show appreciation to the media for promoting tourism and events.

Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim thanked the media for their co-operation and expressed hope for the continuous support in the ‘Selangor Shines’ tourism campaign.

“With the continuous support from the media, we hope the public would be made aware of the tourism attractions in Selangor.”

Also present were State exco for Tourism, Consumer Affairs and the Environment Elizabeth Wong, exco for Women Affairs, Science, Technology and Innovation Rodziah Ismail and State assembly speaker Teng Chang Kim.

Wong said: “We have published a Selangor tourism guide book called Selangor Breakaway to further highlight tourist spots and events in the State.”

Last night also saw the launch of the latest edition of Selangor tourism magazine, Selangor Vision.
